ABSTRACT:
This work discusses strategies of
improving productivity in Nigeria civil service. A case study of Edo state
civil service. A hundred and twenty questionnaires were shared amongst workers
of the Edo state civil service. Interviews and surveys were also conducted.
Primary and secondary data were used
the analysis. Both frequency distribution and regression analysis were used.
It was observed therefore that improved
welfare and remuneration packages, good management and leadership styles, constant
training and orientation programs and workshops are strong factors that can
cause improvement in productivity.
